Understanding the trenchless pipe lining process can help demystify this advanced plumbing solution. When you choose trenchless pipe lining with Sullivan Plumbing, our experienced team will guide you through every step.
First, a thorough inspection of your existing pipes is conducted using a high-definition sewer camera. This allows us to accurately diagnose the problem, assess the pipe’s condition, and determine if trenchless repair is the right solution. Once confirmed, the pipe is cleaned of any debris, roots, or scale buildup to ensure a smooth surface for the new liner.
Next, a flexible, resin-saturated liner is prepared. This liner is then inserted into the damaged pipe through a small access point. Using air pressure or water inversion, the liner is expanded to fit snugly against the inner walls of the existing pipe. The resin then cures, forming a new, strong, and seamless pipe within the old one. The entire process is designed to be as efficient and non-intrusive as possible, minimizing the impact on your daily routine.
Trenchless technology encompasses a few different methods, each suited for specific situations. The two most common types are Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining and pipe bursting.
CIPP lining, as described above, involves inserting a resin-soaked liner into the existing pipe and curing it in place. This method is ideal for repairing pipes that are cracked, corroded, or have minor breaks, as it essentially creates a new pipe inside the old one without removing the original. It’s a versatile solution for various pipe materials and diameters.
Pipe bursting, on the other hand, is used when the existing pipe is severely damaged or collapsed and needs to be completely replaced. This method involves pulling a new pipe through the old one while simultaneously fracturing and expanding the old pipe outward. A bursting head is attached to the new pipe, which breaks apart the old pipe as it’s pulled through. This technique effectively replaces the entire pipe section with a new, durable one. Our team will assess your specific situation to recommend the most appropriate and effective trenchless repair method

I had a leak under my kitchen sink that practically required a rebuild of the whole thing. Sullivan plumbing came out two days later at exactly the time they said they would arrive and fixed it quickly at a reasonable price. Much thanks to them.Posted on Google![]()

Sullivan Plumbing is my plumber for life.My water line broke where it comes into the house.I was able to fix that.But....When I turned the water back on and ran the faucets it got sand and dirt in the pipes. They came out the next day and took care of everything in no time!! I was pleasantly surprised when I received the bill , which was very reasonable.I plan on having them come back to put in a faucet on the backside of the house.Nice people, good work I would highly recommend.👍Posted on Google![]()

I recently had Sullivan Plumbing out to my house for a few different issues. The first trip they flushed my tankless water heater, they also discovered a venting issue with my tank during that visit which will save on maintenance and safety down the road. The next trip they came out to install a entire house post water filter and an undercounter reverse osmosis system. They were very professional, and personable, explaining everything thoroughly to me regarding the install. Their pricing was very fair, and I was extremely happy with my experience with them.
